Join us for a Super Duper Charity event!

March 4th is Aplastic Anaemia Awareness Day, let’s raise lots of money for the only UK charity dedicated to this very rare disease. I’m fundraising in memory of my amazing mum, Lynne Sweeney. (1938-2011)

See you there!
Claire Cross

We're so proud to be hosting a swish for our lovely friend Claire at her awesome event!
Join us on Sunday the 4th of March from 12pm to 4pm at The Trades Hall in Walthamstow.
Here's the address:
61-63 Tower Hamlets Road, E17 4RQ Walthamstow, United Kingdom

Claire is organising a charity event in aid of the Apalstic Anaemia Trust and we're so happy to be able to give her a hand!
But the swish is only one part of it...
There will also be loads more happening like stalls selling hand made goods, second hand items, vegan food -including chocolates!- a kids craft table, a pop up hair salon run by Claire Hair (no need to book), DJ's spinning tunes (yes we expect some dancing!), a raffle, and lots more including a cheap bar!!!
So mark it in your diary and come along to help us raise lots of cashola for this amazing charity and help us raise a glass as well to all the wonderful people & their families who's lives have been affected by aplastic anaemia.
Entry is free to this family friendly event, all welcome!
"Swish", how it works:

This swish will run from 12pm to 3pm.
We'll be taking clothing and apparel between 12pm and 2pm.
It costs £5 to participate. Though there is no minimum amount of items there is a maximum of 6 items allowed per swish entry.
If you would like to bring more than 6 items you can though an additional £5 will be charged and you can bring up to another 6 items! FYI, you can bring as much as you like ;)

You will be given a ticket which corresponds to the type of item you have brought in to swap (ie shoes, high st clothing, vintage etc.) Please keep this ticket as you will need to show it at the end of the swish.
Just make your way to the Swish area and hand in your items to the Swish Mistress. You'll then receive a swish card with your tickets.
We'll be accepting items between 12 and 2 pm.

At 2 pm we'll open the newly filled "wardrobe" area. You'll then have an hour to browse and try anything that catches your eye!

And finally at 3 pm you will be able to swap your ticket for a similar type item when the swish begins!

*Please note that all items must be in a clean and wearable condition. Please wash, mend and press anything before bringing it along.
We will not accept certain items: No fur or pelt!
At the end of the swish we ask that participants help us by taking back any of their items that weren't swapped.

Fashion, fund raising and recycling …we LOVE it!

Wishing you all a very happy yule...

As the end of year and the prospect of mid winter approaches we're snuggling down and getting ready to face a new year!
©Enfants Terribles Magazine

Yup, it's been another year of great -and not so great!- ventures and lots of thinking and letting go of "old" things... mainly projects and ideas which are no longer working for us or making us happy but also the revaluation of what we want to do, where we go from here and our place in the craft world!

And so it's with an open heart that we wish everyone a very happy yule filled with love and joy plus a genuine wish that next year all your dreams come to fruition and that the universe answers those calls.  We're positive that it's going to be an awesome year...
so look out for our new events coming in 2018 because we are back and raring to go!

Keep it crafty and remember: Makers gonna Make!!!

Lots of love.
Debbie

Swishing you a merry Christmas...

This December we'll be joining forces with SannaPanda & Friends in order to bring you a very special Christmas Swishing event.
We all have loads of garments we either no longer wear, fallen out of love with but can't part with or as I am ready to shamefully admit have never worn and probably never will because I bought it on a whim! We all have moments of madness!
So if you think there's no alternative other then sticking them in the recycling bag then think again...

Swishing is a great way to revive, refresh and boost your wardrobe and it won't cost you the earth! Literally it's a fantastic way to recycle so you are saving the planet!!!
At £1 an item you can drop off your unwanted clobber. We'll be receiving clothing from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
You'll then have half an hour to browse and try other people's cast off and then when we blow the whistle at 8 pm..."SWISH"... that's when you can grab your new fashion bounty.
It's that easy!

We accept:
Dresses (Vintage, home made and High Street)
Separates (tops/blouses/shirts/vests etc. - trousers/skirts/shorts/leggins etc.)
Jumpers and knitwear
Shoes/Boots
Hand bags, Belts, Hats and accessories including jewellery.

We do ask that everything you bring to be in a good wearable condition and clean.
*Sorry no underwear or socks!

When? 6th of December from 6.30 pm to 9 pm
Where? At the formidable Oak Studio in Hampstead Heath

Also you can grab a free cocktail (swishers only), buy some cake at "Cakes by Kath" baked goods stall and do some late shopping in the studio...there are so many gorgeous things in there!!!

Pump House Crafternoon!

On SUNDAY the 7th of October Craft Guerrilla will be hosting a CRAFTERNOON in the Pump House Gallery in Battersea part of the gallery's "Social Sundays".

You can find us recreating our CRAFTERNOON in the gallery from 1pm to 4 pm. Just follow the awesome vintage tunes!
It's free and it's a drop in session so no need to book....just bring your pretty selves, pick up a craft pack* then sit and make with us. You might also meet a few new crafty friends so be ready for a good old chat and some social crafting!

*A selection of packs have been carefully designed by Craft Guerrilla and our associates in order to offer participants fun and easy to follow projects which can be made on the spot but can also be taken away and confidently completed at home.
All projects are suitable for adults and children over the age of 6 (though some supervision may be needed).
Craft Guerrilla tutors will be on hand to guide anyone should they need assistance. Packs are suitable for novices and seasoned crafters.
